Robotics Alley Conference and Expo
Robotics Alley was founded in 2011 by ReconRobotics and the Minnesota High Tech Association to spur public-private partnerships in the business, research, and development of robotics and automation systems. The first conference involved about 200 people meeting for a half-day event. In 2012, Recon reached out to The Event Group, Incorporated to help produce and grow the initiative.
The Event Group helped scale the event from a small gathering to a multi-day conference and expo, greatly expanding the number of session offered and companies involved. A three-year strategic plan was developed to help maximize the event's growth.
In 2013, based on the event's success, The Event Group acquired Robotics Alley. Since that time, it has continued to grow annually. During The Event Group's time managing the event, attendance has more than tripled and sponsorhip revenue has jumped more than 360% percent. In addition, the event has added new features including a career fair, a STEM showcase, multiple tracks, a startup investment competition, and more.
