Who is Charlie?

• Charlie Barker is a seasoned marketing and sales leader who is known for his passion for customers, strong relationship building skills, and his ability to exceed business targets. Recently at AT&T he helped develop their new AT&T business flagship event “The Summit”. The innaugural event in October 2017 was attended by over 1300 global business leaders. Charlie also was responsiblie for selling over $4 million dollars in sponsorships for the event.

  Prior to that he managed the marketing commuications team charged with helping grow the AT&T $400 million dollar portfolio of Cybersecurity solutions. Prior to the security portfolio, Charlie’s marketing teams handled everything from Network Integration and Sourcing to Unified Communications.

During his AT&T career, Charlie was recognized as one of the first ever Business Marketing Organizations Visionary Award winners in 2015, and won the award again in 2016. In 2012 he won the AT&T Business Marketing Best of the Best Award. Other awards during his career include AT&T Advertising Solutions Manager of the year in 2010, and the prestigious AT&T CEO Club Award in 2010.

Prior to Joining AT&T, Charlie enjoyed a successful career in digial media and broadcasting. One of his favorite stops was as Program and Operations Director for SportsFan Radio Network in Las Vegas. During that time he could proudly tell his friends and family that MLB All-Time Hit King Pete Rose was his employee.

Charlie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications From Drake University in Des Moines Iowa.

In his spare time, Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa, his 8 year old son Andrew, and Griffin, the family dog.
